Need tire mounting & installation in San Antonio? San Antonio Tire Shop handles tire mounting & installation across San Antonio, TX and the towns around it — measured first, quoted out the door, and walk-ins taken.
Tire Mounting & Installation done right
Including tires you bought online. Same install, same balance, same torque spec, no surcharge for buying elsewhere. We measure before we quote, put the whole number in one figure rather than adding fees at the counter, and torque every wheel to the vehicle's own spec on the way out.
- Out-the-door pricing — tires, mounting, balancing, stems, disposal and tax in one number.
- Measured, not eyeballed — tread depth on all four corners, and brakes while the wheels are off.
- Repaired where it can be repaired — a puncture in the tread crown is a patch-plug, not a new tire.
- Build dates read out loud — the DOT code tells you the week and year, and you hear it before it is mounted.
We will mount tires you bought somewhere else
Plenty of shops either refuse tires bought online or charge a penalty rate for mounting them. San Antonio Tire Shop mounts them at the same price as tires bought here: same machine, same balance, same torque spec, same inspection. It costs us the margin on the tire. It is also why people call us, and we would rather have the customer than the markup. Have them shipped here and we will take delivery.
Torqued to spec, not to the feel of an impact gun
Lug nuts have a specification in foot-pounds set by the vehicle manufacturer. Overtightening warps brake rotors and stretches studs; undertightening is how a wheel comes off on the highway. Every wheel that leaves here is torqued to the vehicle's number with a torque wrench, in a star pattern. We also ask you back after about fifty miles for a free re-torque, because that is when a fresh mounting settles.
